DrupalCamp Spain brings together people from all over the world who use, develop, design, and support the Drupal platform. A large portion of the attendees at DrupalCamp Spain are often new to the Drupal platform or community.
The Drupal Code of Conduct outlines our shared ideals and values. This document expresses how we expect these ideals to be interpreted at our conferences and other events. Our goal is to ensure that all participants can freely and openly share ideas in a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment that fosters and inspires mutual respect and collaboration.
Come for the software, stay for the community
Drupal simply would not exist without its community. We want everyone attending DrupalCamp to have a amazing experience both inside and outside the conference sessions and activities.
The purpose of this document is not to restrict the diversity of ideas and expressions in the Drupal community, but to raise awareness about the potential of actions that could alienate any participant in the community.
DrupalCamp is a thoughtful event
DrupalCamp Spain is a national event—open to international participation—that attracts diverse people from a wide variety of races, cultures, and religions. We recognize that intercultural communication can often be complex, and we encourage the entire community, regardless of their experience, to consider the impact of their actions on those with different backgrounds and experiences, as well as the honest intentions that may have unintentionally caused offense.
DrupalCamp is a welcoming event
One of the greatest strengths of the Drupal community is being inclusive. Making all attendees feel welcomed and integrated into DrupalCamp Spain is a task that involves the entire community, including speakers and sponsors.
DrupalCamp is a respectful event
Sponsoring companies, individuals offering their valuable time as volunteers or giving talks, and all conference participants must treat others with dignity and respect, regardless of their culture, religion, physical appearance, disability, race, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, and any other differences.
DrupalCamp is a collaborative event
If misunderstandings occur, we encourage people to resolve issues among themselves whenever possible. Individuals are encouraged to take responsibility for their words and actions and to listen to constructive criticism with an open mind, courtesy, and respect.
When we disagree, we consult others
If two or more participants cannot resolve issues that may arise between them, they are encouraged to seek advice from an impartial third party trusted by both or a designated community volunteer to help mediate.
For this DrupalCamp Spain, we will appoint some community members to this mediation role.
When needed, we seek help
We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form.
If any harassing behavior occurs that violates, discriminates against, or humiliates you in any way, please immediately notify a DrupalCamp organization team member.
Likewise, we ask the entire community to immediately inform an organization team member if you witness any of these behaviors towards others.
For particularly urgent cases, please contact any of these people:
- Montaña Franco: mon.franco.gq [at] gmail.com (mon[dot]franco[dot]gq[at]gmail[dot]com)
- Oskar Calvo: calvo.oskar [at] gmail.com (calvo[dot]oskar[at]gmail[dot]com)
- Patricia Gende: patricia.gende [at] gmail.com (patricia[dot]gende[at]gmail[dot]com)
- Yolanda Gorriz: helloygoex [at] gmail.com (helloygoex[at]gmail[dot]com)
The DrupalCamp Spain team wants all conference participants to feel safe throughout the event. If necessary, conference staff is empowered to take appropriate actions, which may include, but are not limited to, warnings, expulsion from the conference without refund, and referrals to venue security or local police.
Thank you for making DrupalCamp Spain amazing!
